Summit K2 High School, Executive Director
Born in the Dominican Republic, Cynthia is a bilingual school leader and former teacher who is moving to the East Bay. She was drawn to Summit K2 because of our passionate and dedicated team, with whom she’s eager to work. She joins us after seven years in a variety of roles with Boston Public Schools, including three years at the Office of English Language Learners, where she advocated for English Learners at the local, state, and federal levels. Most recently, she spent three years as the director of student, family and community partnerships at Sarah Greenwood School. She earned her M.Ed. in Urban Education and Leadership from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Cynthia believes in spending time getting to know families and students and personalizing the supports to match what we want and need at Summit K2. Don’t be surprised to get phone calls or texts from Cynthia simply checking in. She believes in knowing students and families personally–an approach that will strengthen our community. The breadth of Ms. Cynthia’s knowledge of the integral role each member of a school community plays will be invaluable for Summit K2 as we embark on a monumental year–I am looking forward to celebrating our founding graduating class with you!
